We are very proud of the Mabry Science Club for their environmental work here in our community. Last year they created a movie about the importance of caring for natural spaces like our Sweat Mountain Park. They shared their movie and led a sing-along for young students at two elementary schools on Earth Day. The club also planned and participated in clean-up events and replaced a damaged bag dispenser station for dog walkers in the park. Their efforts were recognized with the first place award in the Youth Environmental Symposium, sponsored by the Georgia Conservancy which was held in the spring.
