Monique Sets Example
We at Mabry are very proud of our students. Last week Mrs. Sneed talked with her homeroom students about the impact of hurricane Katrina on the children in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, and how our students can contribute to meeting their needs. One of our students, Monique, was very concerned for these children. After talking with her teacher at length about the nature of this disaster, she personally went to work that evening at home and has brought in over $100.00 to help the children affected by this terrible storm.
I am very proud of Monique for taking such a personal interest in helping others. I admire her initiative and outstanding character. Her compassion for those in need make her a wonderful example for us all.
