Mabry Students Present to Cobb Leadership
Yesterday four of our Mabry students had the opportunity to present to the Cobb Leadership Class of 2007, which is sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and is a leadership development program comprised of 45 leaders and potential leaders throughout business and industry in our county.
Yesterday's meeting was Education Day and focused on education in Cobb County and Marietta. Cobb County School District Superintendent Fred Sanderson began the day followed by the presentation from Mabry students. Marietta City Schools, Southern Polytechnic State University, and Chattahoochee Tech also represented. The group also heard remarks about North Metro and Kennesaw State University.
Presenting to the Cobb Leadership Class of 2007 was a tremendous honor for our students. They did an extraordinary job talking about the Mabry Film Festival and their desire to use what they learn in school to make our world a better place. They received a standing ovation from this important group of leaders in our county. I continue to be extremely proud of our students.
