World-renowned Surgeons Teach Mabry Students

When Mabry students want to learn about organ transplants and organ donations, they go to the experts. Dr. Larson, world- renowned kidney transplant surgeon, and Dr. Csete, world-renowned liver transplant surgeon, held an interview for several hours with our students, providing them with current research information for their movie project. These doctors as well as others at Emory University graciously shared their time and significant expertise with our Mabry students.
And while our students do not earn a grade for their movie projects, they were excited about learning in a real world context, the medical facilities at Emory University. Even our parent chaperones were mesmerized by these two surgeons as they shared a wealth of learning. We want to express our sincere appreciation to the medical professionals at Emory that made this rich learning activity possible for us!
