We are doing a study and virtual tour of the mountains,rivers,deserts, plateaus, and climate of Asia,Chapter 24. Students have been labeling maps and taking notes.I was able to check every student's notes and discussed their answer to the essential question, give feedback and had some students redo their work. Many of the students still need help in notetaking,we will continue to practice. I want the children to learn: Read first, change the sub- heading into a question,and then take notes. Highlighted words must be included in the notes as they are important and so is the information around it.We will continue to practice and have Open Note quizzes, they will only count as classwork for now. As their notetaking begins to improve,I will count them as a Quiz grade. Please check your child's work to see how they are improving.
