Friday we learned how to create an Excel spread sheet to compare the populations of the nations of Southeast Asia. We finished our research on their countries and collected their Yellow Matrix for a grade. So if you see any of them sticking out of a book bag, please send it in for a grade.

January 23-26
Today, in the Media Center, we began to research the countries of SE Asia. The students were given specific topics to cover for each country. We will be in the Media Center on Wed. and in the Mac Lab, Thurs. and Friday. The students are working in groups of 2's and 3's. Each child takes a different country and then they will share their information with each other to complete the chart. The children did a wonderful job today, using the Cobb Online Virtual Library and were complimented by the Media Center Specialist as to how quiet they were. All research should be completed by Friday,if not...it unfortunately becomes homework. Four class periods is plenty of time to do the assignment. The chart is on a yellow legal size sheet of paper. Please do not throw it away.Monday the students will be given an assessment activity using their research and then on Tues.1/29 we should begin the Middle East. I have not been able to grade the Chapter Tests yet and i-grade/i-parent has been experiencing various interruptions since its new upgrade. So I will have grades posted as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

JAN.8-12 Southeast Asia: The students have started studying the people and their economy. Wed-Fri. we will be in the Mac Lab doing Performance Testing in Reading, Math and Language Arts.The students were given a political map to label with countries and capitals. Quiz over this will be Thurs. 1/18. Remember...no wordbank and spelling counts.Start studying now. Have a great weekend.
