Our first unit of study covers rocks and how they are formed, the structure of the earth, the building up of the earth and the wearing down of the earth.

We began by exploring soil. What is soil? How is it formed? What is it made of? We currently have an experiment in progress to answer these questions.

This unit will cover several weeks with a variety of projects, activities, and experiments.
