I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I hope you find the evening informative and supportive.
- Today we are finishing up writing simple sentences
- Identifying their formulas (Yes, we do have formulas in LA)
- Identifying and Marking out impostors - infinitives
- Turning in current Reading Logs and getting new ones (They will be due each Tuesday.)
- Start filling in Genre Charts
- Reading with a focus - DEAR Gorilla
Homework:
- Read/Record (Read for 20-30 minutes and record on your reading log.)
- Write a summary sentence (on your Reading Log) with 10 or more words. Include 3 of the 5 "W's", the "who, what, where, when, and why" in your summary sentence. We are having difficulty remembering to do this. If you need to, you may use several blocks to write your summary sentence.
