BAG Rational Numbers 11/09/05

Today we discussed the properties of rational numbers, and worked equations with rational numbers. Ch 7 quizzes were returned. Students are encouraged to rework any problems they missed in order to learn from their mistakes before the test (Thursday, Nov.17th). Remember, everything we learn/review this year will be on the CRCT in the Spring and 8th graders must pass this test in order to go on to high school next year!

GEO - Congruent Triangles 11/09/05

Today we took the Ch 3 Test.

-understand the concept of congruent figures
-accurately identify the corresponding parts of figures
-apply theorems about the interior angles and exterior angles of triangles.
-apply the principle of CPCTC
-recognize some basic properties of circles
-identify included angles and included sides
-apply the SSS postulate

-understand why and when auxillary lines are used in some proofs
