GEO Intro to Geometry 9/14/06

Today we discussed deductive and logical reasoning. We wrote down several definitions and took notes on chain of reasoning. If gremlins grow grapes then wizards move willows?!?

Skills:
-recognize that geometry is based on a deductive structure
-identify undefined terms, postulates, and definitions
-know the characteristics of theorems and the ways i which they can be used
-recognize conditional statements
-recognize the negation, converse, inverse, and contrapositive of a statement
-use the chain rule to draw conclusions

p. 42-43 (5,8,14)
p. 47-48 (3-5, 7-10)
Ch 1 Quiz Monday
Ch 1 Test next Friday (9/22)
