Classwork (Mon. 9/19)

1. Collect signed progress reports.
2. CPR #1:;paired activity.
Skill of the week: Drawing Conclusions.
Students have to use observations from the activity in order to determine its purpose. This is yet another problem-solving method(working from the end to the beginning.)
3. Discuss Air Pollution/Air Quality(15-2);Cause/Effect;Problem-Solution-pros/cons;viewpoints;mini-debate
4. Establish small groups for Pollution project

Homework

1. Research air pollution to obtain additional information about causes/alternative solutions. Take notes and be sure to cite(record) your references. Remember to think about the viewpoints mentioned in class(lawmakers, people who live near their job, people who live a great distance from their job, public health officials, automobile manufacturers). How will a representative of each viewpoint respond to the issue at hand?
