1. Begin your Daily Weather Log. Predict and monitor the weather for the next 5 days. Use what you've learned to predict various aspects of weather. Tune in to your local weather channel, TV or radio news station or use the internet to record the actual data on your weather log.

1. Review 17-3(Where Do Floods Occur?) enrichment sheet and hold class discussion. Skills: Interpreting Maps and Diagrams, drawing conclusions, making inferences.
2. Read article in unit folder entitled "Floods". Write a brief summary on notebook paper and answer review questions (located on the back of the article)directly beneath your article summary.
Skill: Summarizing main ideas and drawing connections to real-world scenarios.
3. Hold brief discussion about nature/purpose of a brochure and project expectations. Link to Storms/Floods discussed in Ch. 17. Begin Storm Safety Brochures-small groups.
