I would like to thank periods 2-4 for doing such an outstanding job with the edible ocean floor models and oral presentations. I would also like to thank Mrs. Ridlehoover and her classes for supporting us. An extra special thanks goes out to all parents for donations to all of our causes whether grand or small. We could not accomplish any of these things without your help.

1. Review 14-1 WB (Exploring the Oceans).
2. Demo/observations: Ocean Depth and increased pressure and How Does Salt Effect the Freezing Temperature of Water?
3. Problem-Solving (Sonar) activity. Skills: Calculations of ocean depth given distance from shore and speed of sound. Plotting points and constructing a line graph. Interpreting graphs and identifying features of the ocean floor.
4. Planning for edible ocean floor models. Reminder: Per. 2-4(tomorrow) and Per. 1 (Thurs.).
Homework
1. Finish classwork (if not done).
2. Bring in your project items. Remember: If something needs to be baked, do so at home.

Use the Ocean Word Splash to make predictions about connections between the vocabulary and the content. Make revisions (on your own) as you read Sec. 13-3 (Ocean Water Chemistry) and 14-1 (Exploring the Ocean).
3. DEAR time.
