Homework
Find a picture or comic strip from the newspaper, a magazine or other source. Paste it onto a sheet of notebook (or printer) paper and write 6 statements (3 observations and 3 inferences) beneath the picture. Do not state which type each sentence represents. Record the answers to the statements (whether observation or inference) on a separate sheet (preferably on an index card). Due tomorrow.

Social Studies

Classwork (Wed. 9/13)
1. Discuss KWL and model (using interactive Promethean board) effective use of the reading/note-taking strategy. Content: 1-1 Land & Water of Europe & Russia.
2. DEAR time.

Homework
Begin preparing for quiz on 1-1 which will be given on Friday. Focus on section vocabulary, key land forms and water features.
