1. Discuss Sec. 1-2(Climate & Vegetation). Model active reading strategies and appropriate study skills habits to practice while reading. Interpret maps & diagrams to improve comprehension and analyze relationships between climate zones and vegetation zones.
2. Complete Guided Reading Review for Sec. 1-2.

Homework
1.Complete Sec. 1-3 Guided Reading Review(GRR), the flip-side of the Sec. 1-2 GRR which was done in class. Be prepared to review both sides tomorrow.
2. Sec. 1-2 quiz will be given on Mon. Use your KWL, GRR and Sec. Review homework for reference. Remember to study the vocabulary thoroughly.

In Science, students are demonstrating proficient knowledge of the Earth's Interior and it's impact on Earth's surface by first brainstorming and submitting proposals for a "Candy or Ice Cream" product that adequately depicts the layers of the Earth. Student teams must then create a 2D prototype of their product and draw analogies between it and the Earth's Interior.
