Science
Classwork (Fri. 9/29)
1. Finish measurement notes and discuss importance of taking accurate measurements.
2. Complete: How Do You Measure Up? lab sheet. It provides practice in making predictions and an opportunity to compare those predictions with actual results. Students are paired for this activity and learn how to select an appropriate metric unit for items being measured. We will complete Part II (Are You a Square?) on Monday.
Homework
Complete all questions for How Do You Measure Up? including the challenge question. If you did not get an opportunity to measure your height and arm span, then you need to finish the sheet on Monday. However, you can begin to answer the challenge question, since it asks you to compare your data with that of a classmate and you should have been able to complete the data table.
