1. Construct a Venn Diagram that compares the two types of weathering. Be sure to add details, some type of graphic that supports your response and to decorate it. You may word process it.
2. You must also write a short essay that answers the following three focal questions of today's presentation:
a) What causes mechanical weathering?
b) What causes chemical weathering?
c) What determines how fast weathering occurs?
Be sure to cite examples and evidence from the text that supports your response.

1. Vocabulary building strategy-make picture flashcards for the vocabulary presented in Sec. 3-1 & 3-2. Be sure to place a picture that depicts the meaning of the term on the front of the card and the word and definition on the back. 3. Begin CPR #3 (Analograms). Continue working with your partner. Each of you should have your own answer document but are permitted to work together. Remember to utilize classroom resources (dictionary, thesaurus or encyclopedia) for reference. You will have a few minutes to finish this exercise tomorrow.
