Tour the basics here to learn more about the role of genes and chromosomes in the process of inheriting a specific trait, like hitchhikers thumb. Just to see who is reading the blog... :-) You can earn 10 bonus points on an assignment if you take the tour and write down the phenotype and the possible genotype of your thumb and turn it in to me by Friday (10/20).
