All 8th Graders will be taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) and the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) beginning on September 7. The schedule is as follows:
September 7 & 8 CogAT
September 12-6 ITBS
Students will test at the beginning of each day and testing will run until approximately 11:00. Please make sure students are on time to school and plan appointments accordingly to ensure that students are present for all days of testing. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Haag are more than happy to meet with parents regarding any issues or questions. In order for us to give you the most time and attention possible, please call or email us to make an appointment before coming to the building to see us. It is difficult for us to give you necessary time and attention when you do not have an apppointment. In addition, without an appointment we cannot guarentee that we will be available to meet. Certainly, if you have an emergency situation with your student, one us will make arrangements to speak with you. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note the beginning of the year testing window. Specific test dates will be determined shortly. The Performance Series Online Testing includes Reading, Language Arts, and Math. Please check the Counselor Blog for updates.

7th grade (new students to Cobb County)
· Performance Series Online Testing window: August 15-September 9
8th grade (all students)

· Cognitive Abilities Test: September 7-8 (make-ups September 9)
· Iowa Test of Basic Skills: September 12-16 (make-ups September 12)

Welcome to the 2005-2006 school year at Mabry! This year’s counselors will be Mrs. Jackson and Mrs. Haag.
Mrs. Jackson will work with:
· 6th grade
· 7th grade homerooms: Treadwell, Glenn, Miller, Abrams, Hansard and Graber.
Mrs. Haag will work with:
· 8th grade
· 7th grade homerooms: Worthington, Howard, Kulkarni, Carroll, Larkin, and Baylor.
We will be working together to assist all students to be successful.
