The Performance Series is a national, curriculum-based test that measures student achievement in reading, math, and language arts. These tests are given in all Cobb County elementary and middle schools. Certain high school students may also participate. These tests are multiple choice and are taken on a computer. Each test will take about an hour and will have about 50 questions. Results from these tests will provide the school with important information about the specific strengths and weaknesses of students in the areas tested. These tests do not count as a grade in any class and are only one measure of what and how well students are learning. This is NOT a high stakes test. It is one tool used by teachers to help identify the instructional needs for their classrooms in order to meet the needs of all students. If you have any questions, please feel to call or email Mrs. Jackson, the sixth grade counselor.
