Complete Exercises 20, 21, and 23 in your WAG book.
For Exercises 20 and 23, copy the sentences and underline the independent clause once and the dependent (subordinate) clause twice.
Write ss over the simple subjects and sp over the simple predicates.
For Exercise 21, copy the sentences, write ss and sp as above and circle the comma and coordinating conjunction.
Continue reading your mystery or adventure novel.
BONUS: Create a rap, poem, or mnemonic device for the subordinating conjunctions.

Reminder: Field Trip tomorrow! Please dress appropriately. You will need to bring a sack lunch and a drink unless you are buying from the cafeteria.
We will be leaving @ 10:45 and returning @1:45. Don't forget to pack a snack (no drinks) since we will be eating late.

Finish your Candy Bar Tale using dialogue and examples of complex sentences.
Underline your candy names. Type using MLA Style. Due Wednesday, 11/8.
HINT: Use your novel to see examples of correctly written dialogue!
What are Candy Bar Tales? Write a story using the names of candy bars for people, places, and things. For example, Baby Ruth walked down 5th Avenue to meet Mr. Goodbar. The two are very good friends who enjoy visiting Peppermint Patty. And so on......

Complete clause worksheet.
Write whether each group of words is a main clause (MC), subordinate clause (SC), or not a clause (NC).
For each group of words that is a SC, finish the sentence. Don't forget to add correct capital letters and punctuation.
Media Center tomorrow. Bring all books to return, renew, or pay fines. You must begin a new mystery or adventure book for a book report in about four weeks.
Bring 3 "Fun Size" candies Friday for a writing project.
