This week we'll review Asia Culture, History, Geography, Economy and Government. Each day students will review a different topic from our study of Asia. On Wednesday they will be given a study guide for their final exam on Asia (read on to find out more about the exam).
BOOK REPORTS for Southeast Asia or India are due on Wednesday, February 1. I changed the date when I realized I have an inservice on Tuesday, January 31st at Dodgen. The inservice is about integrating technology into Social Studies and actually features a number of projects from our class! GIA Agents are technology leaders!
Friday, February 3 we'll have a notebook check. Notebooks should be nicely organized according to the divisions given at the first of the year and papers should be holepunched, not piled into pocket folders. Ideally, the Japan work should have been stored at home unless you have sufficient room in your notebook.
FINAL EXAM ON UNIT 7 which will include Chapters 24-28 is planned for THURSDAY, February 9. This will be a comprehensive test designed by Mrs. Glenn and all students should use their detailed study guide as preparation.
A MAP test to accompany the FINAL will be given on FRIDAY, February 10. This includes the countries we have studied as well as a number of the capitals. Spelling counts.
The 4.5 week period ends on Friday, February 10 and those grades SHOULD be included in the report which will go home on Tuesday, February 14.
Following the Unit 7 Final, we'll begin our study of the Middle East on Monday, February 13.
