Our Canned Food Drive has come to a close. However, a recorded message went out today to make your parents aware of the way we may assist one of our Mabry families. After losing their house and everything in it to a fire, they would benefit from our assistance. If you'd be able to assist w/ the giving of GIFT CARDS to Grocery Stores, Retail Stores, etc..., this would ease a bit of their dilemma. The donations will be collected in Home Room. Thanks, in advance, for your continuous assistance to those who are struggling.

Pre-Alg. 12-13-05

1.) Checked and Collected last night's HW. Since quite a few of you struggled, I, seriously, suggest that you work on more examples from this section (4-4).

2.) We took time to practice more ex. from the 4-4 material.

PW: STUDY (by PRACTICING)for TOMORROW'S QUIZstrong>. It is over sections 3-7, 4-1, 4-2, and 4-4. [Section 4-3 was omitted.] Pemember that the ONLY way to "Practice" Math is by repetition. Use ODD #ed problems in these sect. since their answers are in the back of the book.

**Please don't forget that TOMORROW is the Final day of our CANNED FOOD DRIVE. All we are able to donate will help others who are not as fortunate as so many of us! Thanks, so much!

** Don't forget that Mabry's CANNED FOOD DRIVE continues tomorrow and Wednesday. Please help us help others!! Thanks!

Pre_Alg. 12-6-05

1.) Collected the Ch. 3 MAJOR TESTS from the few students who CHOSE to have their PARENTS SIGN in order to be able to earn EXTRA CREDIT POINTS.

2.) We checked and collected last night's Homework. We went over the problems the students had a challenging time solving. It would be advantageous for all of the students to practice similar problems from the text. [Section 3-7] Remember that the ANSWERS to all of the ODD #ed problems are in the back of the book.

3.) We began the notes over sect. 4-1. Copy these notes from classmate if you were not in class today.

PW: No Homework (Originally planned PW was not able to be assigned since all of this section's notes were not able to be completed due to the necessity of spending time going over last night's homework.)

**Please remember the CANNED GOODS Mabry will begin collecting tomorrow for this Holiday Season. Bring them to your Homeroom Teacher. Thank you in advance!!!

Pre-Alg. 12-5-05

1.) Returned and Re-collected last Friday's Timed Mult. Test.

2.) Returned the Chap. 3 MAJOR TEST (which the students had already seen) for the students to file into their Math notebook in the "Test" section. Offered the children a chance to earn extra points by having this Chap. 3 TEST signed by an appropriate person and returning it to me TOMORROW. This is an option. These TEST scores have been posted on I-Parent.

3.) Notes over sect. 3-7 were taken. Many students had some challenges, which were created by quite a bit of off-task behavior which required my frequent re-direction! Math, of course, is a subject which requires all of us to stay focused on from the beginning. All lessons include skills that build on each previous one in the material.

PW: Work Book p. 25 # 1 - 13 ODDS. Be sure to SHOW ALL OF YOUR WORK! You MAY write on the WBk page, if you'd like.

**I know that catching up on our rest/sleep is such a true benefit! After the vivacious week-end so many students said they had, I know they'll have a more profitable day tomorrow with the rest. I plan to turn off the lights earlier, tonight, myself. Sleep well!
