We checked homework and discussed the vocabulary and essential questions. It was announced that a vocabulary quiz will be given on Thursday.

Discussion on figurative language was begun and explanations about metaphors, similes, alliteration, and repetition were presented, We began reading and summarizing the first few paragraphs of "I HAve a Dream". Students are urged to make notations on their copy of the speech in addition to marking examples of figurative language. We will continue this process through tomorrow and hope to view and listen the actual speech from 1963 on Thursday.

Varied assignments are to follow this week and next.
