1. Most of the students (93%) scored a A on the Asia map test with the rest close behind with B's.
2. Chapter 24 Test will be Tuesday 9/13. Students have been reminded several times during the week to study -lets keep those scores high!
3. We will cross the Sea of Japan and start our study of Japan Wednesday.
4. I believed that all of the teacher, students, and PTA organizers were amazed at the donations give for the Gulf relief effort. Thank you PTA for organizing that.
5. On a personal note, I had the opportunity to work Saturday with a group organizing and distributing food and supplies to those waiting in line at the Red Cross service center at Life College. It was a special opportuntity see how what we do can make a difference in people's lives. The people were so appreciative of Cobb's outpouring of care and giving.

We will have a map quiz over the region on Friday 9/9. Start studying now! The quiz will ask you to identify landforms and bodies of water in Asia. A big thank you to Mrs. Baylor for sharing her wonderful power point giving us so many picures and useful information that helped us understand the region better.
