A big thank you to all the parents who attended conference week.
Also, we appricate the PTS's efforts during Red Ribbon Week.The "Band together against drugs "was a great idea. Everyone was wearing their red bands all week.
China -Quiz 1 over Chapter 26 in the book will be this Wednesday Oct.26.Then we will start our Cina projects.

Welcome to Conference Week
Early dismissal for students at 2:15
We are looking forward to seeing all the parents coming in and discussing the great progress the students are making.
China
This week we will study and discuss the Government and the Arts and Recreation of China. Do understand what Socialist Realism is and how it was used ?
We have also been discussing political cartoons and their uses. Have you found a good example and written an explanation for it?

This week we begin our study of the amazing country of China.
1.3 Billon people and the third largest country in size. We will explore its culture,people,and the government.We will investigate the changes in China over the last few years.
Please remember that Friday Oct.14 will be a student holiday and teacher workday. Conference week follows with early dismissal at 2:15.

This week :
Please remeber that Wednesday Oct.5 is an early release day - 2:15 for middle school students.
Wednesday is D.E.A.R. Time and retest for Japan map.
Friday Oct.7 will be Test over Chapter on Japan.
Next Friday Oct.14 will be a teacher workday / student holiday.
Please remeber to return conference letters as soon as possible , so we can plan for Conference week Oct. 17 - 21.
Social Studies teachers have handed out the applications for Student Forum and we will elect a representative for each S.S. class. Fill out your application and turnit in to Mrs. Glenn.
