This is a big week for us. Most of the students will be going on Jekyll Island Trip. Everybody needs to go to bed early the night before your trip and be ready to be at school early. We all need to give a big "Thank You" to the Science teachers and Mr. Swanson who worked many hour to organize and plan this trip.
Homework for Mr. Howard's classes : All of the students should write a summary about a current event happening in North Africa or the Middle East. Due Monday - Feb. 27.

Reminders: this Friday 2/ 17 is a teacher workday and a student holiday and Monday 2/20 is Presidents' Day Holiday. But for the Monday - Wedneday - Jekyll Island group set those alarm clocks early for Monday morning.
Monday - we did a quick map practice for Thursday's Map Quiz and handout page 97 & 98 and wrote 10 study guide questions with answers for a "pop"quiz tommorrow.
Wednesday is D.E.A.R time a a suprise from Mrs. Isreal- Hiles.
Thursday Map Quiz.
Friday & Monday holiday and next Wednesday group two leaves.

As we say good bye to South Asia , we turn westward to the Middle East and North Africa. Tuesday ,we will look at the political map of this new region with the countries and their capitals. Our test over the countries and their capitals will be on Feb. 16 with a teacher workday on the 17th.
