Reading homework has been altered slightly. Instead of spelling, students have a vocabulary building worksheet along with the same type of reading selection with required responses to complete. This week's reading selection is "The Reluctant Ballerina" and the vocabulary building worksheet is entitled "Famous Men." Both sheets are due Thursday.

We practiced how to complete homework in class. Reading homework is due on Thursday. 6th period students need to turn in their practice homework on Thursday also (or give it to the substitute tomorrow).
We started our novel study unit by writing about what we fear or a situation when we were afraid. Tomorrow, we will learn about the author of Call It Courage, Armstrong Sperry. Hopefully, we will begin reading the novel on Thursday.

Our first novel study, Call It Courage, begins Monday. This novel is a classic and an award winning book by Armstrong Sperry. We will use a class set of the novel, so you do not need to purchase this book.
Have a great weekend!
