All Classes: ACLA and Reading

BOOK REPORTS OVER WINTER HOLIDAYS!

Because the state standards lists 25 books as a goal in reading for all students, I am requiring my students to self select a book to read over the two weeks holiday. I will give each student a plot development graphic organizer to use while reading.
When students return on Monday, Jan. 8th, I will assign a summary report to be written in class. They may use the book they read and the graphic organizer to write this book report. This will count as a writing grade for the third nine weeks.

Happy Reading during the break! I know I have at least three books that I am eagerly waiting to read.
Good luck!
