All classes will be in the library on Friday to begin reading about the assigned topics for research papers. These papers will not be started until after Thanksgiving, but Friday should be used as a day to familiarize yourself with your topic!

We will be working on an expository essay on Wednesday and Thursday in class. The typed final draft is due on Monday. If you will not be here on Monday, it is your responsibility to get the paper to me on time.

All final drafts for the first formal essay are due this Friday! Make sure you have included your prewriting handout, three body paragraph organizers, and any previously submitted rough drafts. (You should have AT LEAST one rough draft attached to your packet.)

It is the first day of school, and I have had a great morning! It has been fun meeting everyone, but I am ready to get to work! We will start a small project tomorrow, so come prepared. Here are a few reminders. . .
1) Bring all your signed paperwork in to receive a locker! (This includes a syllabus for each class)
2) Make sure you have a journal by next Monday. You may leave them in the black crates as soon as you get them.
3) If you didn't fill out contact information on your card, please get that to me by tomorrow.
4) Get your binder in order. You should have dividers for writing, grammar, literature, and DOL.
