Book Reports

Students should have all 5 book report worksheets completed by Monday, 5/15.
1. sequence of events (white)
2. story sequence chart (peach)
3. Character traits w/quotes (lemon)
4. Character traits (lime)
5. Author info. (grape)

From these worksheets, students will create a web page book report. No names allowed, only initials. Unfortunately, we will not be able to actually place it on the world wide web.

Students received a rubric for grading of this project. It should be stapled on top of the other 5 worksheets. All worksheets will be collected 5/23.

Project due date: A THE END OF THE DAY- TUESDAY, MAY 23.

Students who read a book from the 5th-6th grade summer reading list will meet with Mrs. Hendrix, Media Specialist, to create a pod-cast. Hopefully, we will have enough time to get this done!

5/1 - 5/5 Reading Decoding and Comprehension

Students will complete assignments targeting reading comprehension skills, while I complete individual post-assessments.

Students MUST bring their reading novel to class everyday! Students who do not, run the chance of lowering their behavior/conduct grade on their report card.

Parents:
Progress reports need to be signed and returned to me by Wednesday, 05/03/06.
April reading logs need to be turned in by Friday, 05/05/06. Remember, I am checking to see how many times they read at home.
