We will be starting Ch:4: Modern Genetics.
On Monday, we will talk about multiple alleles and read section 1. Graded test and Notebook Quizzes will be returned. Students did really good on this test.

On Wednesday we will talk about pedigrees. We will also look at different genetic disorders and then compare and contrast different diseases.
On Thursday, Students will work on an lab:" Family Puzzle"
On Friday we will continue learning about advances in Genetics.

Objectives:
Students will explain multiple alleles
Explain why some human traits show large variety of phenotypes.
Explain how environmental factors can alter the effects of genes.
Describe the causes and symptoms of five human genetic disorders.
Describe three ways in whih people have developed organisms with desired traits.
Identify uses of DNA fingerprinting.
