December 19th- December 22nd

We have started Chapter 6: Bacteria and Viruses. We talked about the different kingdoms and their characteristics. Monday is Career cruising day. Guidance counselors will be taking the students to the Mac lab.

Tuesday and Wednesday we will be talking about Bacteria, their shape, structure and reproduction methods. We will also be learning about useful and harmful Bacteria.

Thursday we will be reviewing all the content they have learned so far.

December 12- December 16

This week we will start chapter 6. We will be studying about classification system of Linnaeus, classification today and levels of classification. Students will also learn the importance of the taxonomic key. We will also talk about the different kingdoms and their characteristics.

Students will classify the given critters and create a taxonomic key for those critters.

Correctly use a taxonomic key to classify organisms
Develop a taxonomic key for classifying objects
Understand the characteristics of each kingdom.

Study guide on Chapter 5 will be given on Monday( November 5). The study guide is due on Wednesday( November 7).

REMEMBER to take your textbooks home.

Students who complete their study guide tend to do better on the test.
