January 30, 2006 Essential Question: What are protists?

How are fungus like protist similiar to fungi?
How are fungus like protist similiar to plants?.

The answer for the first question is they are both heterotrophs , and they reproduce by spores. The second answer is they have a cell wall.

Today we reviewed plant like protist. As you know algae is the plant like protist. We also reviewed protozoans and fungus like protist.

Then we looked under the microscopes to find some protozoans. We actually saw amaebas, and paramecium move around the microscope! You missed out today if you did'nt see them.
