Class Notes For Second Period

March 13, 2006
warm up #5
Bacteria living in the intestine of humans is an example of what, and at what level is most energy available at? The answers are mutualism for the first one, and producers for the second.

We learned about the water, carbon and oxygen, and nitrogen cycles. The water gets evaporated, and then condenses in the cloud, and later fall as precipitation. In the carbon and oxygen cycle, humans release carbon dioxide,in the process of respiration, which the plants use to make oxygen in the process of photosynthesis. In the nitrogen cycle, the free nitrogen is converted to usable nirtrogen in the process of nitrogen fixation . The bacteria live in the nodules of leguminous plants. When the producers and consumers die the nitrogen is released back in the environment.
We played a game outside to learn about succession.
