Today we continued our Order of Operations warm-up worksheet. We then checked the homework from 4-1 and 4-3. We then went over 4-4 Measures of Central Tendency (Mean, Median and Mode). The homework is to complete Workbook Practice 4-4 (#1-12 all). There will be a quiz tomorrow over 4-1, 4-3 and 4-4. There will be a study session before school at 8:20 am.

Today we completed a warm-up activity on Order Of Operations. We then started a new (and short!) unit. We covered 4-1 Bar Graphs and Histograms and 4-3 Line Plots. The homework for tonight is to complete Workbook Practice 4-1 (#1-11 all) and Workbook Practice 4-3 (#1-4 all). There will be a quiz this Wednesday over this material and tomorrow's lesson (4-4 Measures of Central Tendency). CRCT Packet #4 is due this Friday. We will go over this packet and the packet titled "Review after Ch. 11" on that day.

Today we took the Chapter 12 Test on Probability. There is no homework for tonight. Tomorrow we will do test corrections in class and work on CRCT Packet #4 (which will be due next Friday, March 30)

Today I took questions on the review assignment from pages 639, 640 and 622. I then collected this assignment. We then worked on page 658 (#1-8/11-3). This will be due at the beginning of class tomorrow. We also reviewed on whiteboards for tomorrow's test. There will be a study session tomorrow morning at 8:20 am.

Today we went over the homework from the workbook (12-5 Probability of Compound Events). We then reviewed for the test. Please complete the following review assignment for homework:
Pg. 639; Lesson 12-1 (#1-6)
Lesson 12-2 (#1-18)
Pg. 640; Lesson 12-3 (#1-8)
Lesson 12-5 (#1-8)
Pg. 622; Lesson 6-6 (#1-6)
The test over this unit will be this Thursday with a study session on Thursday morning at 8:20 am.

Today we went over CRCT Packet #3. This was taken as an activity grade. We then went over the homework (workbook practice 6-6). I then explained 12-5 Probability of Independent Events. The homework for tonight is to complete Workbook Practice 12-5 (#1-20 all). Also complete the CRCT Packet titled "Review after Ch. 11" if you have not already done so, as we will go over that tomorrow and I will take an activity grade on this. Finally, there will be a test on Thursday covering the following sections:
12-1 Counting Outcomes
12-2/12/3 Permutations and Combinations
6-6 Simple Events
12-5 Probability of Compound Events
There will be a study session before school at 8:20 am.

We have had a great week in BAG class. On Wednesday, we celebrated pi day. Thank you to all who brought in all of the wonderful and round treats. I went home stuffed! Yesterday, we covered 12-2 Permutations and 12-3 Combinations. Today we checked the homework for those 2 sections and then we covered 6-6 Simple Events (probability). The homework for the week-end is to complete Workbook Practice 6-6 (#1-24 all). Remember to write all of your answers in both fraction and decimal form. The test over Chapter 12 (Probability) will be next Thursday. We also need to go over CRCT Packet #3 and CRCT Packet titled Review after Chapter 11. We will do this next week. Be sure to finish either or both of these packets if you have not already done so. Have a great week-end!!

Today we spent a considerable amount of the class time going over the homework. I did not begin new material, because I felt that the students needed more practice on Counting Outcomes. So, the homework for tonight is to complete Workbook Study Guide 12-1 (#1-6 all). We will have pi day tomorrow. Please remember to bring something round to eat and share. I can't wait!

Today I passed back the Chapter 11 Test and we went over these in class. We went over 12-1 Counting Outcomes. The homework is to complete Workbook Practice 12-1 (#1-8 all) and Pg. 520 (#8-18 all). Be careful on the tree diagrams. Wednesday is pi day! Bring something yummy to eat!

Today we finished the Chapter 11 Test (Geometry formulas). The students found out their scores before the end of class, however, I will pass them back on Monday and explain correction procedures at that time. I also collected CRCT Packet #3. We will go over these problems next week. The students need to complete CRCT Packet titled Review after Ch. 11 for next Friday, March 16.
Pi Day is next Wednesday. Let's have some yummy and round things to eat on that day!

Today we went over the homework (pgs. 509-510). The students then took the Chapter 11 Test. Those students who were not present today can make up the test tomorrow during class. The homework for tomorrow is to finish CRCT Review Packet #3 (if you haven't already finished it).
Next week we will have PI DAY on 3/14 (Wednesday). Please be thinking about something that is round to bring to eat (and share). It may be home-made or store bought.

Today we went over the Practice Test. The homework for tonight is to complete pgs. 509-510 (#11/12/16-23). The Chapter 11 Test will be tomorrow. There will be a study session before school at 8:15 am. Those students who will miss the test due to the band field trip may take the test in class on Friday.

Today we checked the homework and went over questions on this assignment. I then reviewed EVERY formula from this unit and students updated/verified/recopied their formula sheets. The homework for tonight is to complete the Practice Test passed out in class today. The Ch. 11 Test will be this Thursday and a study session before school will begin at 8:15 am.
Next Wednesday 3/14 we will participate in pi day. Please bring something round to share with the class to eat.

Today we reviewed the CRCT Packet #2. We then checked and went over the homework (Workbook Practice 11-5). During first period there was time to cover 11-6 Surface Area of Cylinders. We will cover this in all other classes tomorrow. The homework is to complete the Volume and Surface Area 2 page packet (#1-20). Periods 2 through 7 should not do #6, #9, #11, #20; we will do these tomorrow in class when we cover Surface Area of Cylinders.
