Applications for the Mabry News Team need to be turned in to Mrs. Hendrix in the Media Center.
Students interested in being on the Mabry Math Counts team should meet tomorrow morning at 8:15 in room 8B4.
8th Grade students will be taking ITBS tests this week. Please exhibit good testing manners and walk quietly when in the halls.
Take a moment today to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.

Friday - Mrs. Miller-Grade 7-Nonfiction Genres
Grade 7 Language Arts students will participate interactively (using the Promethean board) in a discussion of the various nonfiction genres, so they will be able to select appropriate nonfiction books for reading and research.

Students who feel they are good with numbers, and want the opportunity to compete with their minds, are invited to join the Math Counts competition team. All grade levels are welcomed! The first meeting will be Tuesday, September 12, at 8:15 A.M. in room 8B4. Sponsors are Mrs. Klucsarits and Mrs. Jennings.
Students interested in being on the Mabry News Team are reminded to get their applications in to Mrs. Hendrix in the Media Center by Friday, September 8.
Grade 8 students are taking the CogAT tests this week, and will be taking the ITBS tests next week.

Spanish classes will use books and the Cobb Virtual Library to access information about topics on Spain and Spanish culture. Students will use two-column notes for information gathering, and properly cite sources.
Mrs. Krodman's class will work on a Media Center map and the various fiction genres and their distinguishing characteristics.
Grade 6 Language Arts classes will review the various fiction genres and their distinguishing characteristics, enabling students to better select appropriate fiction books for reading and research.
