All 8th grade students should be sure to vote for superlatives. Ballots should be placed in the box in the cafeteria by tomorrow (December 1) afternoon.

The new Media Center automation system, Destiny, is now operational. Teachers and students should look for the "Mabry Destiny" icon on the Novell launcher, or the MAC dock.

Word of the Week - Gratitude - A feeling of thankful appreciation for benefits received
ALL Media Center materials should have been returned on Friday. This includes both student and staff materials that have been checked out from the Media Center. The Media Center automation system will convert from Athena to Destiny on Wednesday.
Students interested in competing in the North Metro Regional Technology Fair in February must complete an application form by December 11. Application forms are available from Mrs. Hendrix in the Media Center.
There will be a Mabry News Team meeting Wednesday morning, November 29, at 8:30 A.M. in the Media Center.

Word of the Week - Service to Others-Useful and considerate duty to others
Students and staff are reminded that ALL Media Center materials are due today. We will be converting over to Destiny, our new automation system, right after Thanksgiving and our circulation records have to be cleared from Athena in order to make the conversion properly.
Today is the last day of the National Jr. Honor Society food drive.

Several presentations at GaETC are being conducted by Mabry representatives. Dr. Tyson is featured as a "Spotlight Speaker." Mrs. Hendrix is presenting for one of the sessions. Two I-movie teams (Mrs. Ridlehoover and Ms. Larkin) are showing their works in the Exhibition Hall. Way to go, Mabry!

Tomorrow, November 7, is a student holiday.
Lassiter High School is hosting a Parent Night for rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) on Tuesday, November 14, at 6:30 P.M. in the Lassiter Theater. Lassiter school personnel will be providing information regarding transition, placement, and curriculum.
The Mabry National Jr. Honor Society will meet at 8:15 A.M. on Wednesday, November 8, in Mrs. Hartnett's room, 8A2.
The Mabry News Team will meet Thursday, November 9, at 8:30 A.M. in the Media Center.
