Winners of the Twelve Days of Reading contest;
Grade 6 - Mr. Woolsey
Grade 7 - Mr. Howard
Grade 8 - Ms. Moncrieff
6th graders read 105,765 Pages.
7th graders read 111,469 pages.
8th graders read 65,502 pages.
Total pages read = 282,746
Mabry students should be proud of such an accomplishment in such a short amount of time!

Mabry welcomes author, Brett Hodus, cofounder of Scobre Press, to our school today. 7th grade students are enjoying book chat discussions about the Dream Series books published by Scobre Press.

Students interested in participating in the North Metro Regional Technology Fair on February 3, must have their applications in to Mrs. Hendrix in the Media Center by December 18. Students may enter any kind of technology-related project. Entries must be projects completed during this school year, by individual students, or by a team of 2 students. Projects could be PowerPoint or Keynote presentations, digital photography, digital movies, robotics, animation, podcasts, wirecasts, etc.

Word(s) of the Week: Generosity - Unselfish willingness to share your time and talents in your community
The National Jr. Honor Society is collecting new toys and games to be given to needy children who live in the Marietta area. The collection dates are December 4-12. Homeroom teachers have a suggested list of items.
Day 1 of the Twelve Days of Reading contest sponsored by the Media Center is complete. Whose homeroom will read the greatest number of pages by December 20? Remember, the winning homeroom in each grade level will receive a breakfast provided by the Media Center after the holidays.
There will be a mandatory meeting of the Mabry News Team tomorrow morning at 8:30 in the Media Center.
The deadline for registration for the North Metro Regional Technology Fair is December 15. See Mrs. Hendrix in the Media Center if you are interested in registering for the competition.
