We took the SS final today, and wrote a letter to the rising 6th graders and an Acrostic poem using the word Australia. If you did not finish your letter or poem, you may come in at 8:15 to complete it. If you can't come in at 8:15 then make sure you finish it for homework. I need the letter and poem as soon as you get here; come to my room before you go to homeroom in the morning.
You will need a pencil or pen in class tomorrow.

We finished the chapter 7 questions and checked the chapter 7 quizzes in class today. If you did not finish either of these assignments you may come to school at 8:15 A.M. tomorrow morning to finish. The SS final is tomorrow, Wednesday, 5/23. Use your notebooks to help you study and focus on the chapter quizzes as you study.

Today we worked on the Chapter 7 questions. We will be doing a Review tomorrow in class, so please try to make it to school tomorrow. The SS final is on Wednesday, 5/23. You should be using your notebooks to help you study. Focus on the quizzes when you study.

We made our Australian edible maps on Friday.
We are going to take our SS final on Wednesday, 5/23 because some of the classes will be cut short, on Monday, due to a performance during part of 4th and 5th period.

Today we got into groups and divided the parts of the physical and political may of Australia that each person needs to learn. We also read chapter 7 in the Australia book. If you were absent today, you need to come in at 8:15, tomorrow, to read this chapter.
Make sure you take your Australia map home and Learn your part. We will be making an edible map of Australia on Friday, 5/18. You also need to tell your mom or dad what you signed up to bring to school on Friday.

The SS final will be on Tuesday, 5/22/07. Use your notebooks to help you study. Focus on the chapter quizzes.

6th Grade Field Day is tomorrow, 5/17/07. You must wear your team color in a T-shirt in order to participate in events. You should bring a beach towel to sit on, sunscreen, hats or visors, and plenty of water or sport drink to get through the morning and afternoon activities.

We took the USA and Canada Unit test & finished our map of Australia. If you did not take the test today, please come in at 8:00 A.M. tomorrow, and I will meet you at the front door. If you get here after 8:00, come into the building and if someone stops you, tell them you are here to make-up a test for Mrs. Miceli.
We will be making an edible map of Australia on Friday the 18th. Make sure you tell you mom or dad what you signed up to bring to class.
The SS final will be on Tuesday, 5/22/07. I have given you back your SS notebooks to help you study. If you study from your old quizzes, you will do fine.

We finished the assignments for chapter 5 in class today. If you did not finish the assignments make sure you finish them tonight. We will be checking them and making corrections tomorrow.

Today we went over chapter 4 in class and worked on the Group 1 and Group 2 assignments. If you did not finish the chapter 5 assignments in class you need to finish them tonight.
Since I was not in class today, I have decided to change the USA and Canada Unit test to Tuesday, 5/15/07.

We took the USA map test today, and if you are going to re-take the test tomorrow morning, please be here at 8:00 A.M. I will meet you at the front door.
If your were assigned the Group 2 assignment, you need to finish reading chapter 5, pages 119-135.

Today we took the chapter 3 quizzes, using our textbook, and we shared some Canadian presentation.
The USA map test is on Monday, 5/7/07. Make sure you know where the states are located, their capitals, and you know how to spell them correctly.
Homework: STUDY for the USA map test!!!!!

If you did not finish the chapter 3 questions (page 74,1-5 and page 79, 1-5) in class you need to finish them for homework; they will be checked tomorrow.

Today we went over the chapter 2 quizzes and made corrections.
The USA map test will be on Monday, 5/7/07. You will need to know where the states are located and how to spell the state and its capital. I would suggest you make yourself some flash cards to help you learn the states and capitals.
We will start the presentation for the Canadian destinations on Wednesday, 5/2/07.
