MONDAY: Complete Reading Log totals. Thirteen books must be read before 12/15. This counts summer reading and last quarter books. The Outsiders counts as 1 book.

Dream Series books are available in the school store. Please choose a partner and a book by Friday.

Spelling:Unit 8 pages 44- 45. Write 10 sentences from unit words and complete 1-23.

HW: Progress reports should be signed and returned on Tuesday.

TUESDAY:
Reviewed Book Chat questions. Students are to take notes on handouts and complete questions on a separate sheet of paper.This will be a major grade.

DEAR READING time given.
HW: Complete spelling from Monday.

WEDNESDAY:

EQ: What is a response to literature paragraph?

Activity 1:
Write Source pages
283-286

HW: Complete Topic Chart and Gathering Details about the Character. Topic Sentence must be completed to be reviewed on Thursday.

Topic Sentence: title,author, and character.
Body: Details and events
Closing Sentence: Tell how a character changed.

Week of November 13

REMINDER TO EVERYONE-FOOD DRIVE IS THIS WEEK! PLEASE HELP THOSE LESS FORTUNATE AND BRING CANNED GOODS.

MONDAY

COMPLETING SECTION 4 --5. Section 4 is due Tuesday
Quiz Time packets are due Wednesday. Quiz grade will be given for whole packet. All sentences must be complete and answers corrected. We have discussed each part and corrections should have been made.

Homework; Media Center Webpage and Search Engines is due on Friday.
TUESDAY:
Vocabulary Review/Section 4 discussed and time was given to complete Book.

TEST on book will be Friday

Wednesday:

QUIZ TIME PACKETS WILL BE GRADED AND REVIEWED.
CONCEPTS FOR TEST WILL BE REVIEWED.

EQ: How do you write an effective persuasive paragraph?

HW: Study for Test/Book logs are due November 20.

TEST DATE/FRIDAY FOR THOSE STUDENTS NOT IN CLASS MONDAY-TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. OPTIONAL FOR STUDENTS-FRIDAY OR MONDAY
