Algebra - Thursday, Sept. 28

We went over the homework from yesterday. I told everyone that if you understood 11-25 and number 31 on p. 177, then you should feel very comfortable about the material, do not stress. We went over section 3.8 and completed a worksheet together in class on rate/ratio/percent. We started to review for the chapter 3 test which is on Monday. Homework is p. 190-192, 1-33, odd. I also gave several different suggestions for studying more for the test. There will be a study session on Monday at 8:15.

Algebra - Wednesday, Sept. 27

Okay....new day and new test day as a result! We went over section 3.7 and worked several problems on the dry erase boards. The test has been moved to Monday with the study session on Monday, also. Homework for tonight is more practice on 3.7, p. 177, 3-33, all.

BAG - Wednesday, Sept. 27

Great day! Collected signed tests and test corrections. Make sure that you have them done and signed by tomorrow, if you haven't already. We went over the homework on rates and ratios and completed a worksheet on converting fractions to decimals to percents. Homework is p. 116, 5-45, odd. Be sure to check your answers in the back of the book. We will be doing performance series testing the next two days.

BAG - Tuesday, Sept. 26

Tests were returned today. They are to go home for parent signature and test corrections, if necessary. There will be a study session at 8:15 tomorrow to go over test corrections for anyone that is not 100% confident.
We also went over sections 3.1-3.3 in class today. We did a worksheet in class and presents are p. 106, 11-23, odd, p. 109, 11-31, ond p. 113, 11-25, odd. Have a terrific day!

We finished the quiz today that we started on Friday. Unfortunately, that was as far as we got....no presents! There will be a test on Chapter 3 on Friday with a study session at 8:15 on Friday.
Also, for chapter 4, you will need graph paper, so be sure and purchase some before next Monday if you don't have any.

Early release day...short classes. We took a brief break from equations and went over coordinate plane, section 2.10. Homework was workbook 2.10, 1-24, all. We will have a test on Friday on equations with a review session on Friday morning at 8:15.

Early release day...short classes. We practiced on dry erase boards, more practice on 3.4, Solving equations with variables on both sides. Each class has a different homework, since we finished at different places.

BAG - Tuesday, Sept. 19

We are still taking the time to work on equations. We practiced on the distributive property in class, the "Ray Floob" worksheet. If you weren't here, you won't know what I am talking about. Homework is to finish 13-18 on Ray Floob side of worksheet and 1-6 on the other side with the equations. You are to show all work and checks. We are hoping to have our test on Friday. Today was a big review day for working equations with the distributive property. There is still plenty of practice that needs to be done using integer rules. There will be a test on Friday on working equations and checking your work. There will also be a study session on Friday at 8:15 for the test.
Presents for tonight were worksheet 17(crossword that was started in class on Thursday) to be finished on a separate piece of paper. All work must be shown and checked.

Algebra - Friday, September 15

We checked over worksheet 2.6C in class. Test corrections were passed back out and tests are to go home and be signed and returned on Monday. We started chapter 3 and covered 3.1 and 3.2, solving one step equations. We practiced the right way to set up an equation and solve as well as CHECK!! Very important step in solving equations. Worksheets 3.1 and 3.2 B are due on Monday,. Make sure to show all work and check for full credit!
**Progress reports were also sent home today. They do not need to be returned.

BAG - Thursday, September 14

Chapter 1 test comes home today. Test corrections should be done as well as a parent's signature should be done by Monday. Overall, the grades were pretty good. We are working on solving equations in class. We spent today practicing on dry erase boards. Two worksheets are due on Monday, Solving Two-Step Equations with Integers and Solving Equations Using the Distributive Property. Be sure to show all work on a separate piece of paper and check.

** Progress reports went home today. They no longer need to be signed and returned since we have iParent.

Algebra - Tuesday, Sept. 5

Reminder, chapter 2 test will be this Friday. Homework for today is p. 103, 19-69, odd, p. 106, 95-113, odd. The review for the chapter 2 test is p. 798, 1 - 59, all, 6th and 7th periods will not meet on Wednesday and both of these assignments are due on Thursday. 3rd period will be able to work on these on Wednesday in class and they will be due on Thursday, also.
We will have a study session on Friday at 8:15, please plan to be there.

BAG - Friday, September 1

Quizzes were returned and we went over them. We reviewed over 1-6 on translating verbal expressions into algebraic expressions. Wow! What an improvement. First period went over 1-7 and has homework, p. 35, 13-49, odd. Second period practiced more on the dry erase boards and do not have the homework since they completed that last night.
