Signed tests were collected and test corrections from 3rd and 6th period. 7th period is to do their test corrections tonight and they are due tomorrow. We went over homework from last night and had more practice on 5.1 and 5.2, writing linear equations when given slope and a point. Extra practice was provided, but is optional in keeping with the Halloween spirit!! However, there will be a quiz on Friday on 5.1 - 5.3. There will be a study session on Friday at 8:15.

Signed tests and test corrections were collected today and we went over homework. We went over multiplying and dividing of fractions and practiced on dry erase boards. No presents!! We do have a quiz on Thursday on adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions. We will have the study session tomorrow, Wednesday at 8:15.

Chapter 4 tests were returned and test corrections are to be made and tests signed. We went over 5.1 and 5.2 and took notes in class. Homework is test corrections and worksheet 5.1 and 5.2. We will have a quiz on Friday on 5.1 - 5.3 with a study session Friday morning at 8:15.

We went over 7.1 and 7.2 today on adding and subtracting fractions. Homework is p. 283, 4-33, all. Also, be sure to have your chapter 6 test signed and test corrections for tomorrow, if you haven't already.

We continued to go over functions, 4.8 today. We completed worksheet 9.5 together. Homework is worksheet 4.8, 1-24, all. the test has been moved to Thursday with a study session on Thursday morning at 8:15.

Review for the chapter six test on Wednesday. We did classwork on page 269-270, 10-40, all and 45-59, all. Solutions were passed out so that they will check their solutions and check for careless errors versus not understanding. We will have a study session on Wednesday morning at 8:15.

We went over scientific notation homework from yesterday and practiced integers with cards and dry erase boards. Our test will be next Wednesday. No presents for the weekend!

We went over section 4.7, solving linear equations using graphs. Homework is p. 253-254, the left column, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35. Be sure to follow the directions.
ALSO, quizzes went home and are due tomorrow at the first of class.
Test is next Wednesday.

We went over 6.3 and 6.7 today, greatest common factor and least common multiple.
Homework is workbook 6.7, but don't follow the directions that are given. Find both the GCF and the LCM for all the problems.
We will have a quiz tomorrow on 6.1-6.3 and 6.7. There will be a study session at 8:15.

We went over 6.1 and 6.2, Divisibility Rules and prime factorization. We took notes on a graphic organizer for the divisibility rules and did a worksheet to determine the prime numbers between 1 and 100. Homework is in your workbook, practice pages for both 6.1 (1-26, all) and 6.2 (1-24, all). If you have not had your test signed, PLEASE HAVE IT FOR TOMORROW!

Test corrections and signatures were reviewed. We went over p. 221 and 223 from last night's homework. We were given a review packet that covers 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 for the quiz on Tuesday. We will have a study session Tuesday morning at 8:15. Finish the packets for Tuesday. Have a terrific weekend!

We went over the review packet for chapters 1-3 and worked on computers to evaluate some math websites. We visited several different websites and took notes to help in compiling a list of quality tutorial websites. No presents!

We went over homework from 4.2 and learned the second method of how to graph a linear equation,. 4.3, quick graphs using the x and y intercept. Book work is p. 221, 15-55, odd and p. 222, 71-85, odd. Be sure to check your answers in the back of the book!
We will have a quiz on 4.1-4.3 on Tuesday with a study session Tuesday morning at 8:15!
