BAG - Monday, February 12

Chapter 5 tests were passed back today and test corrections as well as a parent signature are needed. We started working on both area and perimeter which will be found in a variety of chapters. Today we discussed the area and perimeter of the rectangle, square and parallelogram only. You are given a formula sheet that you may fill in and use on quizzes and tests. Be sure to hold onto this because you will not be given another. We worked in class on a two sided worksheet that is to be completed tomorrow.

Algebra - Monday, February 12

We went over worksheet 8.4. We took a "mock test" on chapter 8 to get an idea of any areas that need extra attention for the test on Wednesday, p. 804, 1-16, 21-45. The solutions were given to check accuracy at the completion of the mock test. The chapter 8 test covers only sections 8.1-8.4. We will have a study session on Wednesday at 8:15.

BAG - Thursday, Feb 8

We reviewed for our chapter 5 test tomorrow. There will be a study session tomorrow at 8:15. There is no written homework, but you need to study by practicing problems, doing chapter test at end of chapter or using the publisher's website.

Algebra - Thursday, February 8

We graded our quizzes from 8.1-8.3 and I think lots of people were disappointed. Therefore, I think lots of people need to be really studying for our test which has now been changed to Wednesday of next week. We started 8.4 but ran out of time, so no presents! Test is next Wednesday with a study session Wednesday at 8:15.

We started to review for our chapter 5 test that is on Friday. P. 617, do sections 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.5 and 5.6, all problems. I have an answer key for you to check your work for accuracy. Make sure you are studying and come to class with questions tomorrow. There will be a study session Friday at 8:15.

We went over 8.3 today. We worked in pairs on the worksheets, 11.4, 11.5, 11.6 and 11.7 that were in your packets you have already received. We have a quiz tomorrow on 8.1-8.3 with a study session at 8:15.

We continued 8.2, Zero and negative exponents. Homework ( I know it is Super Bowl Weekend, get it done before 6:30 Sunday), worksheet 8.2, 1-24. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR ANSWERS AGAINST THE BRAINBLAST FOR ACCURACY!!! Catch any bad habits early and correct them.
