The SDOE has developed a "benchmark" test for certain grades and subjects. Items from these tests are in the Level 3 part of the Item Bank and teachers or school personnel do not have access to them except through the test that is assigned to students.
Grade 6: Reading/ELA, Math, Science--February 12 - March 7
Grade 8: Reading/ELA February 12 - March 23
Students in grade 7 just completed Performance Series and results from that assessment can be used to determine whether additional intervention is needed.
To access these tests, students may log-in to OAS beginning on February 12th and take the assessment. Because the tests are assigned at the system level, teachers will not be able to access the tests for review or for printing. Students will have to take the tests online. Once students have completed the testing, teachers will be able to view the results on line and use the information for instructional planning. The tests will only be available for a limited time as outlined above.

In order to choose a design for our model, I think that it is best for all of those who have an idea of what our model should look like submit to Mr. Larisch a drawing of their idea NLT Wednesday, January 10. Do not put your names on the drawing! Remember that you can access the information for the model from the handbook on the Future City website.

First, thank you all for being so wonderful yesterday. I can always count on you to do your best!
Second, if you did not turn in a works cited page for you mineral paper, you may do so by Monday for five points. If you had numerous mechanical errors, you may redo the paper for ten points (it must be free of errors to be re-graded). Second period will have an extension on their corrections.
Thirdly, if you had completed all of your worksheets on time, you may substitute them for a lower homework grade.
