<description><![CDATA[<p>1. We have finished our explanatory paragraphs and I was pleased with the outcome. </p>

<p>2. Our mock writing test is this week and our practice test will be next week.</p>

<p>3. We are currently reviewing for the CRCT which will be after we return from spring break.</p>

<p>4. Expository writing is our focus for the next few weeks.</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>1. We finished persuasive paragraphs. Some children had trouble with supporting details, facts, and adding expert opinions. We typed the final drafts in the lab.</p>

<p>2. Today we worked on limericks. They are due tomorrow.</p>

<p>3. The next few days will be spent reviewing capitalization, punctuation, and grammar rules.</p>

<p>4. Our spelling test is Friday. The spelling sheet is due on Friday as well. Please study.</p>]]></description>

<title>Language Arts Update</title>
<description><![CDATA[<p><br />
I was certainly proud of the Adjective Test results. </p>

<p>There is a spelling test this Friday. Please study Unit 4. Lists were given out yesterday.</p>

<p>We will be studying "Lob's Girl" tomorrow from our literature series. There will be a comprehension test on Thursday.</p>

<p>Historical Fiction books must be read by the time you return from Thanksgiving. Remember to update your logs. Our goal is to have 18 books read by December 20th.</p>

<p>I look forward to seeing some of you during conference week.Report cards will be handed out at this time.</p>

<p>We are currently working on types of sentences, fragments, and run-ons.</p>

<p>Reading logs and reading comprehension continue to be a focus for us. Drawing conclusions, making judgments, and making predictions.</p>
