This Saturday, Jan. 21st are the final All State Chorus Auditions. You do not need to bring anything to this audition. Everything will be provided for you, including the music and the CD. The auditions begin at 11:00 a.m. and will go until 2p.m. Those doing both band and chorus auditions that day go first to chorus auditions at 11:00. Have them fit you into the schedule and then head for Macon for the band auditions. (You will probably have to tell them about your circumstances.) Good luck to all of you on your auditions. Wear nice school clothes and come 1/2 hour early to register.Let me know if you need extra help this week. (Wednesday afternoon or Friday afternoon)

The second audition for All State Chorus is Saturday, January 21st.
I'll get you directions and your time of auditions this week.
You will need to sing your voice part with only hearing the accompaniment for this audition. The judges will give you your pitch and bring you in at the correct time. They will only pick certain sections of the pieces for you to sing. You can "la" any songs in a foreign language. They are only testing you for accuracy of pitches and rhythm and that you are singing your correct part. You are graded off one point for any mistakes in pitch or rhythm for each measure that is tested. Please see me if you are having any problems learning the music. I can stay afterschool on Wednesday Jan. 18th and Friday Jan. 20th if you need extra help prior to the audition. Make sure that you can sing all songs using the accompaniment only. Do not bring anything to this audition. They will provide the music and the CD accompaniment.Good Luck! Mrs. Smith
