I gave out project sheets yesterday to all students. These projects (choose one of those listed below) will be due on Monday, October 2nd. Do not procrastinate as I have given you 3 weeks to get this completed. No excuses! I am really looking forward to seeing your creativity and hearing about your research.
Choices:
1. Design a shadowbox depicting a scene from a broadway musical or play. (Not a movie) Lable all parts of the stage and be prepared to explain the scene from the musical you chose.
2. Research a writer of a musical, opera or play such as Lerner and Lowe, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondhiem, Richard Wagner. (2 pages double spaced and 14 font)
3. Collect articles and write a summary for each about things happening in theater or on broadway today. (Newspapers, magazines, and internet resources.) 10 articles will give you a low A.
4. Research a famous actor or actress of your choice reporting on his/her family background, childhood, acting career and awards. (2 pages, double spaced and 14 font)
5. Watch a musical other than Oliver, The Music Man or Westside Story and write a full report on the main characters, plot, storyline, conflicts/resolutions and whether or not you would recommend this musical as a must to see. (2 pages, double spaced 14 font)
This is a major project grade!
