Have a Wonderful Summer!

I wish all of my chorus students and general music students a wonderful summer. If you will be a 7th or 8th grader next school year and would like to join the all year chorus that meets during connections time please drop off a note to the front office stating this and have it signed by one of your parents. We will be scheduling classes for the fall this summer. There are no auditions required, just the desire to sing.

8th Grade Chorus members:
I have thoroughly enjoyed our years together in chorus and I wish you all much success at LHS and in the years to come. Always keep a song in your heart and follow your dreams. I expect to hear great things about you all. Our Disney trip is something I will always remember.

"Into the Woods" Rehearsals

The "Into the Woods" Rehearsals are going well but some of you really need to get all of your lines memorized. The show is in two weeks. Make sure that you have your costume ready as there is not much time. We will use costumes for the dress rehearsal so that you can move around in them.

Parents: I really need some moms or dads to help with our pizza dinner break that dress rehearsal evening of May 16th. So far only one mom has volunteered to help set up the food while we rehearse. HELP!!!! Please call or drop me a note if you can volunteer that evening.

Tickets will be on sale at the spring choral concert/awards night.
$5 Adult
$3 Student/children

The Mabry 8th grade chorus just returned from a weekend trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. They got to participate in the "Disney Sings" Workshop in the Disney Recording Studio. It was such a great experience.
We got to learn how a recording is made in a studio, dubbed our voices over the cartoon, learned the latest version of the Mickey Mouse Club theme song and even got to see Mickey Mouse at the workshop!!!! Mabry has been given the DVD of our performance and it will be played at the May 10th choral concert prior to the 8th grade performance.

A huge THANK YOU to the many parents that volunteered to chaperone this trip. You all were wonderful and greatly appreciated! We could not have taken a trip of this magnitude without your help. I know a trip went well when chaperones get off of the bus smiling at the end. Kids, thank you for being so well behaved in the parks and at the hotel. You received many compliments from the staff a the hotel and in the parks. Give your moms and dads a hug and thank them for letting you have this wonderful experience. I will really miss this talented group of 8th grade singers next year.

7th graders, you can join 8th grade chorus for next year and be a part of the fun.
