CRCT REVIEW

NO HOMEWORK TONIGHT - If you have not checked the CRCT website link to practice for the Social Studies Test on FRIDAY, please go online and complete 1 or more practice tests and bring a note from your parents if it won't let you print a page. The link is on Tuesday's blog entry. Choose the Student Test button.

CRCT REVIEW - Extra Credit

All students will receive extra credit if they will go online and take a practice CRCT in Social Studies. The State of GA has made sample tests available online for students to complete. The Social Studies Test will be given on Friday of this week, so the practice test should be completed by Friday.
Print off the score page when you finish taking the test (or some other page so I will have proof you did the test).

Reconstruction

SKILLS: To describe the political, economic, and social impact of Reconstruction on Georgia and other southern states

ASSESSMENT: Written essay responses to questions (after students read Pro/Con articles about whether free land should have been given to freed slaves)

HOMEWORK: All students should have their entire STUDY GUIDE for CH.14 complete on MONDAY and study for Ch. 14 Test. The test will be given on Tuesday, April 18th to all classes. Students were given the option of whether to have the test on Friday of this week or Tuesday of next week (we have spent much class time on the work and review for this test). It will be a multiple-choice test.

NOTE: Students have been sharing their CIVIL WAR Projects with classmates this week, and the projects are WONDERFUL! We have learned so much from the projects, and I appreciate the time and effort that went into creating some of the outstanding products. I hope to have a display in the Media Center as soon as the Scholastic Books are distributed and moved from bookcases. I also am planning to have a class produce a podcast to show our projects on the web...
